Mercy and Love

River

One day, a simple man of God, named Moses, made a humble request of his God. Picture this with me……Moses wants to know, encounter and experience God, so he asks Him to reveal Himself.  Moses is desiring to understand and connect with his God.  In the book of Exodus we see this amazing transaction.

As the Creator God, Elohim, passes in front of Moses, He makes a powerful declaration of who He is. The great I AM speaks…..”I am merciful, I am gracious, I am long-suffering and I am full of goodness and truth. I am merciful and keep mercy….and I forgive all iniquity, transgression and sin.”

I have paraphrased Exodus 34:6-7.

God has just shown Moses, and us, five beautifully tender aspects of Himself. God is merciful, compassionate/gracious, steadfast in love, tenaciously faithful, and forgiving. Through these, God wants us to experience and know Him. All through time, God has revealed Himself this way and the people of Israel, against all odds, did indeed experience Him thus way.  And today, this is how you and I can enter in and have an encounter with the great I AM.  Through this revelation and encounter with God, He grows us from the inside out.  This is the unthinkable concept of grace!

Over and over, God describes Himself as having steadfast love for His people. Despite their unfaithfulness and failings, He reminds them of His unconditional love or covenant love extended to them.  God always deals with His people, His creation, through the revelation of His name and nature.

You see my friend….God doesn’t just have love, HE IS love! God is His own reference point – I love that!

God’s faithfulness has never been dependent on our worthiness or readiness. He is faithful to His name and nature first and foremost. Since you and I can never keep our own right standing with God (righteousness), we constantly enter into and proclaim that HE is our righteousness, through the shed blood of Christ. He is our expression of love and faithfulness. His mercy is ours and we partake of His merciful nature. Remember, in Exodus that was the first attribute He declared to Moses – His mercy.

When you and I cry out for God’s mercy, it will always get answered because God cannot deny or ignore His very nature or essence.

In Ezekiel, God is speaking through the prophet and telling Israel He has had enough of their unfaithfulness and idolatry. In reading the entire text, you can see that He is fed-up with His people and reminds them of His anger towards them and their despicable behavior. The great I AM is in the processing of scattering them among all other people groups and nations as result of their rebellion.  However, in the next instance we see God relenting, and having a very merciful moment. God makes a very tender statement – “I am not doing this for your sake, house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name” (Ezekiel 36:22).

This, my friend, is restoration and divine justice. This is how a merciful God responds to His children.

Divine Love is not determined by the worthiness of its object, but by the total generosity towards its subject.

This is good news – by His grace I am saved!

“Long ago the LORD said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” Jeremiah 31:3

Abiding…Remaining

fruit2

As I was reading John chapter 15 this morning, I saw a vision of a massive vineyard. The plants within the vineyard were healthy and mature and laden with massive amounts of fruit.  So much fruit that the branches could not bear it all.  As a result, fruit had begun to drop on the ground.  It was a beautiful sight and as I was marveling at its abundance, I saw Jesus begin to walk up and down the rows of the vineyard.  He was smiling from ear to ear.  In His hand was a large basket, and He was bending down and picking up all the fruit from the ground.  His joy was undeniable and His excitement over His vineyard was evident.  When His basket was full, He walked out of the vineyard, and began to distribute to all the people that were outside.  As the people received the gift of fruit, transformations began to occur.  When people touched the fruit, they were filled with joy, peace and healing.  Instantly, souls were delivered from darkness and pain.

Jesus was laughing and proclaiming, “Yes my loved ones, abide in My love for you. Love one another, as I have loved you so deeply.”  He joined in the dancing and soon a huge celebration began.  Children and adults of all sizes and colors poured into the streets.

Instantly, there was a banner overhead with these words:

“I am the vine, and you are the branches. The one who abides and remains in Me will bear much fruit!”

My friends, as we stay connected to our true source of life, Jesus, we will produce fruit for the entire world. We are called to be a blessing!  My prayer every morning has been:  “Father, I want to love you with all my heart, mind and strength today.  I want to love others and serve others today.  Show me what to do today so that is accomplished.”

It is an incredible adventure to serve the King of the Universe. Each day is new and fresh.  And for those of us who are following Jesus, there are no bad days, only days of MORE grace!

As we grow and mature into beautiful plantings of the Lord, may we be branches that drip with lots and lots of sustaining fruit. This world is starving for a substance that produces satisfaction deep within and yet, many do not know where to find it.  I encourage you to take your fruit out into the streets, as Jesus did, and bless as many people who will receive.  You never know whose life will be impacted and changed forever!

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you and that your joy may be full.”

The greatest antidote to depression, worry and anxiety is the abundant joy of living inside of Christ’s love. May you encounter His peace, love and mercy fresh and new today.  And may you go and serve others so they can know the Father’s heart and nature.

Taste and see that the LORD is good!

Love, Lisa

Can You Hear The Call?

sound-healing-528-frequency1

Clarion Call / Lisa Roitsch

I hear the LORD saying that His sons and daughters need to get into position. There is a specific place for you to stand in this season.  Just as a military officer positions his troops strategically to withstand and overcome their enemy, our Father wants you to ask Him where your position is in this season.  Ask and He will show you.

There is a clarion call going out for the Sons of God to be positioned to receive direct orders from the commander of the army of hosts. I can see the call going out but ears are not turned to receive its instructions.  Open your ears to hear the voice of victory.  Position your gaze to line up with His.  Stop long enough for the Father to speak to you and He will show you where to stand during this time.

TIMING IS VERY IMPORTANT

We are to step into the calling of the Sons of Issacher to know the season and times in which we live. Tisha B’Av, the 9th of Av, is occurring this year on August 13th at sun down.  This day has been a day of deep suffering, death and destruction for the people of God.  Historically, this day is documented as a day of mourning, and a day of loss.  Tsha B’Av  is a day to remember the temple of God being destroyed, not once, but twice in history.  Our enemy has always wanted to destroy the container that held the presence of God.  Today, those of us who are called by His name, carry His life and presence across this earth.  As we approach this poignant day in history, I believe the purpose of this call is because the Father wants to do powerful acts on the earth at this time and He needs His sons and daughters to be prepared.  Prepare yourselves my children.

I see lines of men and women, young and old, standing side by side waiting to be dispatched across the earth. Whatever your sphere of influence, maximize it for the advancement of the Kingdom of Heaven.  The Commander of the Hosts of Heaven is deploying His troops.  His sons and daughters will carry His light and love to the ends of the earth.  Where there has been strategies of death and destruction, the spirit of God wants to bring life, love and restoration.  Position yourself, let God arise within you, and His enemies will be scattered.

Let us search and examine our ways and turn back to the Lord. Let us lift up our hearts with our hands to God in heaven. Arise! Cry out in the night at the beginning of the watches. Pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord.

The anointed One, Jesus, Yeshua, died for the sins of the entire world. That those who believe in His name would have life forever.  Those who believe can live their life through Him, who sacrificed Himself for us.

You are of God, dear ones, and have overcome, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. I John 4:4,9

F.O.G. – Favor of God

In the last lines of Psalms 23, David makes a profound declaration over his life – “….Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me ALL the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”  Wow – pretty powerful!

Over the last few months I have actually been looking for the favor of God to be on my life.  I expect it- and I even go one step further and hunt for His goodness and mercy.  When we hunt for something we push aside those things that hinder us from finding what we are seeking.  Shove away everything that is blocking you from grabbing ahold of God’s favor.  Our heavenly Father has given us ALL things that pertain to life and godliness, in Christ Jesus (2 Peter 1:3)

I believe as children of God we should live expectantly.   I strive to open up every new day with a earnest awareness that God is going to move into my room and empower me.  I want to change my home, community, city and world for the better.  I want to leave a legacy behind of good.  I desire to be a history maker!

I realize that the cares of this life can wear you down.  It can seem as if the sun will never shine again on that specific situation you are believing for a miracle.  Maybe you are struggling with an illness or disease that the doctors don’t give much hope.  Perhaps you are believing for a marriage to be restored to its former beauty or even believing for a prodigal child to come home.  I want to encourage you to stay strong.  Unexpected sunshine is about to appear!  THE “God of the Suddenly’s” can shine at any moment.

Even as I write this I am pressing into God deeper so that I can see favor and mercy in my physical body.  Over the last 5 weeks I have been in chronic pain and have seen doctors and many physical therapists.  I am expecting God to move everyday to heal and restore me completely.  But while I am waiting, I am declaring the favor of God over my life.  Like David, I am believing and I am confident that God’s goodness is following me and I will not be left in this condition.  I choose to be in a F.O.G. every day.

It is not always easy to push past the pain, but we must.  Pain CAN become your friend – tell pain to work positive benefits in your life.  All it takes is a different perspective.  Lift your eyes up higher – to the face of God.  From up above, your situation will look a whole lot different.  Allow God’s goodness and mercy to become a song over your life and be sure and turn around and see it following you.

I bless you dear reader, to be a tenacious person.  One who keeps a firm hold of something- cling to the promises of God!  Do not grow easily dispelled but, rather be unshakeable, unmovable, unyielding,  and unwavering in decreeing and believing in the favor of God over your life!

Pray and confess this prayer over yourself:

This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.  God has NOT created me for nothing.  He has given me specific assignments and services to offer those around me.  I shall do the work of the LORD.  I will trust Him.  The anointing of God is upon my life and gives me favor in the eyes of God and man every day.  I shall walk daily in victory and liberty of the spirit.   Amen!

Are you Living STRONG?

Livestrong photo

Did you know that you have an open invitation from the Creator of the Universe to come to Him for everything you have need of?  It is true, but sometimes we need a daily reminder.  Our lives get so busy and the hustle and bustle of the 21st century run us down so that we forget where our true sustenance comes from.

My reminder came this morning as I was pounding away on my treadmill.  The words at my feet scream, “LiveSTRONG”.  The catchy phrase that Lance Armstrong has made millions from, could also be an open call from God Himself to you and I to live STRONG.

God spoke this message in times past through another man, the prophet Isaiah.  In chapter 55, God calls out, “Ho!  Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat.  Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price”.  God is imploring His children to come to Him for all their satisfactions, come to Him for their daily provision.

The great culmination of this invitation comes when God invites us again through the life of Jesus.  On the great day of the feast of Tabernacles, Jesus stands in front of the people and calls out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink deeply”.

Close your eyes with me for a moment and can you just imagine this scene?  Jesus is in the temple and He is raising His voice above all the others.  Wanting to gather everyone’s attention, He calls out this powerful invitation.    As Jesus must have looked out over the sea of faces, His heart must have tugged deeply for the hurting and brokenness of mankind.  He knew that the only satisfactions that their heart craved could only come from Him.  He was the expression and fulfillment of all of the Father’s heart.

As I daily meet people who are hurting and confused, I hear the Father say “LiveSTRONG”.  As I sit across my kitchen table and hear a 40 year old man tell me of his tragic and devastating childhood, his life now falling apart, I hear the Father say, “Come to Me”.  As I see people running around buying and spending money on things that will never satisfy, I hear the Father say, “Come to Me, I am free!  I have everything you need”.

God is all we need to get by in this world my friends.  Today, if you feel the sadness and frustration of  realizing that perhaps you have substituted other things for the living water that Jesus offers, simply reach out your hand to Him and He will come!  Allow His deep love to crash over you and rush into your being.  The result will be a beautiful filling up and then you can go and pour it out over everyone else that is thirsty!

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest”.  Matthew 11:28
